Georgia families have kept St. Simons Island to themselves for generations. Four and a half hours from Atlanta, this moss-draped barrier island delivers Southern hospitality with your toes in sand that packs like concrete for castles but feels like powder underfoot. Mornings here might include watching dolphins teach their young to fish at Gould’s Inlet. Afternoons find you biking tree-canopied paths to the historic lighthouse. Evenings end at a roadside barbecue joint with James Beard credentials. The Village downtown feels like a movie set where people actually live—your kids walk to ice cream while you watch from a patio, nobody rushes, and the surf instructor grew up in the cottage behind your rental. East Beach’s sandbar creates nature’s perfect kiddie pool at low tide. St. Simons vacation rentals welcome you the way Southerners welcome family: open arms, cold drinks, and the quiet certainty you’ll claim the same week next year.

What Our Guests Say

This home was perfect for us, our toddler, newborn, and parents! The area is great, and we loved the outdoor space. The inside is even better than the pictures. I’m a clean freak and it felt very clean. The pack n play and baby seat was also nice to have. Kitchen had a pretty much everything we needed as well as a few cooking oils and spices. Very happy with our stay!
